Will BTC eventually accept big blocks?

An interesting thought was presented on PowPing by Benjamin, who, just half an hour ago, wrote:

"What would prevent BTC from just watching BSV as a robust guinea pig for its protocol / approach... and when it clearly 'works' and proves scaling is viable and locking core protocol is value-added, just adopt the changes and make the dominant chain more dominant?"

That is an interesting thought, because it could happen. If it would happen right now, would Bitcoin SV survive? Probably not. Same with Bitcoin Cash. Same with most other "colored coins".

If the owners of BTC, I mean the owners of BTC's Github repo, refuse to follow the Nakamoto whitepaper, then BTC will continue to collect high transaction fees. That seems to be the business model. 😒
